The 9850 Digital Telephone Desktop (DTD) offers remote telephone dictation in a small desktop unit with features that emulate a large dictation system. This desktop unit, along with a single phone line, can bring any office into the digital age.
When calling into the system, authors are offered pre-recorded phone prompts for user ID and work type, along with touch-tone keypad commands to control playback of their dictation. Using the keypad, the author can mark dictations as priority, end-of-letter, and start a new dictation. Customized greetings can also be recorded for incoming calls.
Upon completion of a dictation, the 9850 DTD can automatically or manually download files to a PC. The 9850 DTD also accepts a multimedia card for transcribing directly from the desktop. Stop, pause, play, fast forward, speed, auto-backspace, volume and tone controls are conveniently located on the unit for manual control or, if preferred, a foot control can be plugged directly into the unit for hands-free transcription. A backlit at-a-glance graphic display shows transcription details during transcription.
The Philips 9850 DTD includes a 64MB Multimedia Card that can hold ten or more hours of recording. This system gives attorneys, medical practices or home-based transcritpionists - or any office looking for digital dictation workflow - the advantages and convenience of a digital call-in dictation system.
